If you’re reading this, it means…
You’re already attuned to yourself.
You recognize that something in life feels “off.”
Maybe you’re weighed down by heavy emotions, intrusive thoughts, or conditioned patterns.
Perhaps you’re in a dark place where depression and anxiety want you to take a back seat (how dare they!).
Or you’re a concerned parent.
You’re witnessing a change in your child’s behavior.
They are suddenly distant or quick to become irritated.
Maybe complaints about not feeling well have become a frequent occurrence.
You’ve tried talking with them or identifying the problem, but it hasn’t helped.
Whatever the struggle, I’m thankful you’re here!
Pulled into the turmoil…
Many of us gravitate toward chaos because it’s what’s familiar to us… even if we know it’s not healthier for us. Trust me… I’ve been there!
I understand that taking the next step toward getting the support you deserve can be nerve-wracking.
I may not know your specific circumstances yet, but here’s what I do know…
You or your loved one can have an improved quality of life – and there is no need to do it alone.
Taking that initial leap of faith through the virtual door…
You find a private spot in your home suitable for your session. All of your concerns are at the forefront of your mind. You click the link to enter your session.
Suddenly, you’re nervous. Your mind’s gone blank except for one question: “What am I going to talk about??”
Or maybe you have your pen ready with everything you want to talk about noted in front of you, but you don’t know where to start.
Whatever you are feeling, it’s normal… and I promise: I’ve got your back!
Our first session is just getting to know you.
We’ll address your questions or concerns, take a little more history, and maybe stop for a few minutes for a “brain break” (i.e., a fun mindfulness activity) if needed.
For children, I suggest the parents be present for at least the first 15 minutes of the session. We would then gauge comfortability level and your child’s attention span for the remainder.
Now comes the fun part. Toward the end of the first session, we’ll discuss what you want from therapy. So, let’s grab your metaphorical paintbrush or wand:
If you could change one or two things right now for the better, what would your life look like?
Don’t worry if you draw a blank; I’m here to help.
We can begin with an inventory of how you are functioning in the six main dimensions of wellness: spirituality, physical health, intellectual health, creativity, emotional health, and social support.
These are the SPICES of our life!
I know concepts are often easy to learn, but the application of bettering ourselves can be challenging. To foster motivation and facilitate insight, we will utilize various therapeutic approaches and strength-based techniques to fit your needs.
We’ll also incorporate your interests (e.g., art, music, theatre, or humor) into our sessions.
Let’s get started!
It’s time to create a joyful, fulfilling life.
I know you’re ready… because you’re here.
Let’s find your voice and start this beautiful journey we call living!
